This series of work started out of frustration, the same way all great ideas are birthed. I realized when faced with a blank canvas, I was intimidated and reminded of my friend who sang about“erecting a monument” in order for his effort to begin. So I messed up every surface before the actual painting part. I splattered and dripped ink, I finger painted and smeared acrylics around with palette knives, until I basically had a mess to cover up. What remains in the finished painting are the bits and pieces that shine through the chaos.
This original painting is created using synthetic polymer paints (acrylics), finished with a glaze that protects and preserves the surface of the painting. Actual colors may vary, photo is as accurate as possible. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. In case of damage during shipping, please connect and every effort will be made to make things right.
All paintings are framed, frames are rubbed gold leaf, hand finished for best effect. This is a “box” frame, measuring 11.5” width x 11.5” height, 2” deep. Painting is inset with 1/4” all the way around.
